Jonathan H. Lomurro is a trial attorney. He has represented clients in a large variety of
criminal, personal injury, municipal, and civil matters. He is familiar with cases involving drug
possession, distribution, intent to distribute, school zone offenses, simple and aggravated
assault, harassment, robbery, theft, car jacking, traffic offenses, DUI, personal injury, property
damage claims, and breach of contract claims.
In addition to being a member of the New Jersey State and Monmouth County Bar
Associations, Mr. Lomurro is a member of the American Bar Association, Association of
Criminal Defense Attorney's of New Jersey, Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Haydn
Proctor Inn of Court, Optimist International: Sunrise Optimist Club of Monmouth County, and the
American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers. Mr. Lomurro has served as the
At-Large member of the Executive Committee of the New Jersey State Young Lawyers Division
and has been appointed to a three year term serving on the Monmouth County Young Lawyers
Committee. He was recently elected to act as the District Representative for the New Jersey
State Bar Association Young Lawyers Division to the American Bar Association Young Lawyers
Division. He is also serving on the Monmouth County Juvenile Law Committee and Monmouth
County Entertainment Committee. He is currently serving as a New Jersey Young Lawyers
Division Delegate to the American Bar Association.
Mr. Lomurro has also completed specialized training from the Office of the Public Defender in
order to represent both their juvenile and adult clients throughout New Jersey.
On May 17, 2007, Mr. Lomurro received his (LL.M.) Master of Laws in Trial Advocacy from
Temple University Beasley School of Law. On June 14, 2007, Mr. Lomurro completed the
American Inns of Court Foundation course of Trial Advocacy.
Mr. Lomurro has been appointed as the Public Defender in the Township of Howell and the
Borough of Freeho for the municipal year since 2007.
